Ionic Stopped Working after Swimming

Hi,

I've had my Ionic over 12 months (so typically out of warranty), and it has been working fine for most of this time.

However, over the weekend, i went swimming and didn't have anywhere safe to leave the watch so i just left it on (it's waterproof, or so they claim). It continued to work fine for about 2-3 hours after i'd swam and dried off. It then just turned itself off.

At first i thought maybe it had lost charge, but now, even when trying to charge (from laptop, from plug) using the official charger i get no response at all. I've tried resetting, i've tried leaving it for some time (over 8 hours) but nothing happens - it appears to be bricked.

What are my options? Appreciate it is out of warranty, but this was an expensive piece of kit and it is supposed to be waterproof (i wish i'd read all the forum posts about how many people have discovered this is basically a lie).

If it's dead and i have to replace, i have to say this is going to be last FitBit.
