Not Able to Sync Ionic

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have had my ionic for a week tomorrow. Still have not been able to sync it properly and use it. I have talked  to the customer service team multiple times and spent hours trying to trouble shoot with them.

It takes about 2 hours to get it set up. It syncs for about 5 minutes and then disconnects. It then goes back and forth from looking and syncing but never connects.

How long do we need to wait before this gets fixed or they can give some update. I have tried all the trouble shooting including factory reset, etc. Very frustraing.

IPhone 7plus, IOS 11.0.3, Latest Firmware.

Many thanks for great suggestions. I too have Bluetooth issues with my Ionic.

I have realised it started happening when I had my Credit card set up with Fitbit Pay.

It it has been problem free ever since taking my card off it and restarting and repairing my device to my phone and app.

Thanks for this. Seems to be the only thing that's worked for mine. 👍

Come on Fitbit Engineers.

You have a class A App with many social features like steps competition.

Get the app and firmware sorted and read this thread.

Well, it appear I was a bit premature with my praise of a fix.  Same problems happening and have all day sync and always connected switched off. If I was in a position  to bin and buy something else I probably would, but stuck with it now.

Don't know how to put things in a signature but I've got Ionic, android 7.

Please update your signature with your specs, we don't know what your phone is.

There are Bluetooth fixes on Android 8, can you update?

Also double check to see if the settings have changed (a bug I have seen).

It doesn't appear that I can update my android version until it's rolled out but my manufacturer - HUAWEI P9.

Its such a shame that these issues are ongoing as I do like the watch.

I'll keep an eye out here for any other suggestions though.

Thanks

Did you double check the sync settings?

How do I do that? Is that in the app?

Click on the Ionic device within the phone app, all the settings are around there. Don't forget to scroll.

I am confused as you said it's off. I asked you to double check this. You're now saying you don't know where it is?

Sorry, didn't realise that's what you meant. Both still off.

Went for a 12 mile run yesterday and it never logged the exercise in the app but I got the steps for the run synced. Looked at my phone and saw exercise hasn't been syncing since Wednesday (it's Sunday now). WTF? I restarted the watch and rested my phone, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and now it says I have zero steps Saturday?!!! 😡😡😡😡

This is totally unacceptable. I'm running the latest version of Android on Google Pixel.

Had ionic for 2 weeks just started having syncing problem.

Just tried to remove and reinstall and it won’t reinstall. Get the error message

com.fit.http.error 0

and that’s after I’ve keyed the 4 digit code

Looks like it can't reach the server. Maybe a firewall issue.

Try just WiFi on your phone.

Try just 3G/4G on your phone.

Try another WiFi router/hotspot.

Will give that a go but it’s reaching it to send the 4 digit code?

its also updating steps but saying it hasn’t synced since 01.00am this morning

in a no signal area so only connecting via WiFi

I should have added I have all day sync and stay connected turned on.
Bluetooth is on, just not paired to my Ionic.

Keep in mind there was just an update, always reboot your phone after an
app update.
