Ionic Tracked Splits not showing in app after syncing

When I use gps on my ionic it shows my splits both on the watch and in the app after syncing. \

However, I run indoors multiple times per week and the gps does not work. So I have my cues set to every .5 miles. My watch alerts me and shows me the duration of that last split and I continue on. At the end of the run, on the watches summary screen it shows the splits complete with durations and paces.

When it syncs with my iphone it does not show the durations of the splits in the app. It only shows the paces. When I look on the website it doesn't even show the split paces. It just shows me a graph of my heart rate. Useless.

In short, when running without gps I would like to see duration and pace on each split in the app after syncing. The splits are being recorded by the watch and show on the watch summary screen before syncing. Why this info isn't shown in the app is beyond me.

@Mr_Regulator23 Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for taking the time to share the experience you are currently having with the splits tracked by Ionic not showing on the Fitbit app. Thanks for sharing all of those details about this situation.

Your splits should show on the Fitbit app after syncing even if you are not using GPS.

When you sync, you should see the activity log at the activity history showing your last "Run". Tap it to access the details. You should see the splits and other details there.

If that is not showing, please share a screen shot showing that. This way, I can take a closer look at this.

Also, make sure you are tracking the splits using the Exercise app on Ionic and Run.

Keep me posted! Smiley Happy

Here is a screen shot of my fitbit app after syncing my non-GPS run from earlier today. Notice in the screen shot it shows Cue Mile and Pace. The second pic is one I took of my watch on the workout summary screen immediately following the run. The watch shows Cue, Pace and Duration. The important part being the duration. The third pic is from the website on my computer which is the most useless of them all. Doesn't even show splits. I would really like to have duration show in the app. Pace is okay but duration is perhaps the most important stat of any split. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for getting back to us and for providing your images @Mr_Regulator23. I apologize for the delayed response and will be glad to continue assisting you.

On the online dashboard go to the map and scroll on your activity. You'll find the times there.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

There is no map and there are no times. This was a non-gps run so there wont be a map. What I'm asking for is split times to show in the app on non-gps runs/walks. I run indoors multiple times per week and there is no gps. The watch seems to track the split times as seen in the picture of my watch post workout, but this info is nowhere to be found in the app or online via the dashboard. I contacted support and they said this is the way it works. That you can only get split times via a gps run/walk and only online. To this I say that is kind of dumb and a huge oversight on fitbits part. Why track this info on the watch and not sync it to the app for easy display? Split times are the most important stat to track for runners. Not pace, not cue number, TIMES. I guess I should run a mile, stop and end that exercise, start another and run another mile, stop and end that one, start another and run another mile. all of that just to keep track of my mile times. Seeing as how this information is not synced to the app or the web. Again HUGE OVERSIGHT. I submitted this as a feature request but this isn't really a feature that someone should have to ask for on a device that is supposed to track fitness. It's a little frustrating for me since I have no split data to compare to see if Im improving. If I run indoors Im screwed on this data.

If this doesn't get fixed with a near future software update I will have to switch fitness trackers. This is ridiculous. I spent $300 on a watch that wont even sync split times on non-gps runs. It calculates my miles based on steps and shows me the times on my watch on the workout summary. All I want is that info tracked and displayed in the app like it should be. For now Im having to take pics of my watch after the run and record these splits in a completely different app. And that's if I remember to take a picture of it. If I forget then my splits are gone and I have nothing.

Furthermore I should not have to go to the online dashboard to see split times on a gps run. That info should be readily available in the app.

I totally agree and support your topic!

It matches exactly with what HUNDREDS of Fitbit users (including me) are requesting for over a year: to set interval training based on DISTANCE with or without GPS tracking, which is very crucial data for runners, and show all the splits stats also in the chart inside the app (refer to app ZONES from developer FLASK for Apple Watch). Fitbit seems to ignore some obvious crucial data for some exercises.

Hello Fitbit developers, are you currently hiring? I could list around 30 basic and obvious improvements to be implemented to your apps to match athletes interests.
