The Ionic was working fine, and then suddenly around 8pm Central, it turned off and will not turn back on. It had a nearly full charge.
I tried restarting it with the left and bottom buttons, and tried plugging it in. Neither worked.

I just got my replacement watch ordered. The fastest way to handle it is to first make sure you go through all the steps on their troubleshooting page:
https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1190
(None of these helped me.)
Then go to their support chat and talk with their support person. They'll check your warranty status and if you're good, then they'll send you a replacement.

Mine has done the same. I was due to charge it this evening, it had worked fine all day. I've even been for a run and used the gps. Last I saw it was on 16%, which would definitely be enough to get through a couple of hours. I happened to check for the time and noticed the fitbit logo was on. Since then it has just been flashing. Ive had it plugged in to charge - but it doesn't vibrate when attached so I know it isn't charging. Ive tried resetting it with left button and bottom right button. Also all three buttons. Nothing has come from it. Ive now just been sat holding the left button and bottom right for ages. The logo stopped flashing for a while and displayed an empty battery. Again, its plugged in but clearly not charging.
I have already emailed fitbit support as I believe that this is not repairable? I have only had mine for 2 months !!!

My Ionic did it this morning too. It had a full charge, vibrated and then shut off and I can't get it to turn on or charge.

Fitbit Support said there was nothing they could do since my tracker is out of warranty. I agree, this seems to be far too common to be simply a bad tracker.

I had this happen as well this past weekend. My Ionic was at 85% and seemed to have received at software/firmware update that bricked it. So, I've been talking with Fitbit just about everyday this week (most recently 10mins ago via phonecall) and their only answer is to give me a 25% voucher toward my next Fitbit since I just barely fell outside the one year warranty. So now I have a $300 dollar paper weight all because of Fitbits latest update (mind you, there was nothing wrong with my Ionic, it's battery or anything until there update). They can keep their 25% as I will not invest another penny towards another Fitbit nor will I recommend their products. If you all are still within your warranty be sure to get them to replace it before you have a nice shiny paper weight as well! Very disappointed in their product and customer care resolutions:-(

That takes me to fitbit community 🤔 im.in the uk, maybe slightly different? I emailed them earlier anyway so hopefully they'll get back to me that way.
Thank you!
