Is anyone else with the Fitbit OS 3.0 update able to get water added on the ionic via the today app to sync with the dashboard? i can add all the water I want on the ionic, but it never syncs. Water I add via the dashboard shows on the ionic, but not the other way around.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to report this issue!
Our team is still working on a fix for this. However, a potential workaround is to simply manually sync your Ionic and then force quit the Fitbit app. This should get your logged water to sync over.
I will be sure to keep you all updated as more information becomes available. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

My Fitbit Versa came with the Ionic water app pre-installed. I track my water intake daily and would love to be able to use the feature on the watch as it is very convenient. However, when I tap and open the Ionic water app on the watch it remains in the "connecting to phone" mode and will not update or allow me to log water. Has anyone else had this problem/ know how to fix it?

The fitbit Ionic nor the Versa comes pre-installed with a water app. If you are trying a third party application, I'd recommend contacting the developer. Even though I can't do much, I can try to help. First, make sure that the app is connected to your account in the app settings. Next, if that doesn't work go to this link and see if Ionic Water is connected. If it is, revoke access and try to connect again.
Hope I helped!

You could try the app called Hydrate.

Hello,
I am the developer of the Ionic Water app for Fitbit. That is an issue I am aware of and sadly, the only thing I can recommend is to keep trying to sync to connect. But, I just released a new update that will allow you to save the logs on the device and then when there is a good connection, it will upload them to Fitbit. Give it a try and let me know. Thanks!

Hi Brian,
I would like to use this app too, but facing the problem, that after hitting the "allow"-button(in Login), all I get is a white blank screen. Using "back"-button on the phone returns to Fitbit app Ionic screen without saving any settings. I'm using Lumia 950XL latest WM10 version. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Go to the app in you phone and log in there. You may need to click it a few times, but once it goes you should be good. I just went through this and once I did that the app worked fine.

I am using Ionic Water on Versa, and have customised the volume of intake for the shortcuts but only the default volumes (200ml, 400ml and 600ml) appear on the watch. Volume correctly synced though (watch-to-phone and phone-to-watch alike). Tried switching of watch, stopped and restarted connection etc but no luck. Thanks.

Anyone going to try WaterLogged? Does almost the same thing but in a different format.

WaterLoggged kept saying "Failed. Pls restart app." and I didn't get a chance to really try the app.

Switched to a new phone cos old phone wasn't working. Ionic Water works very well on the new phone. 🙂

Interesting. .I thought the ionic water app ran on the ionic not the phone.

It may have something to do with the phone's ability to connect to the Fitbit. I have a LG G5, and it disconnects from EVERYTHING. I'm sure that is a huge part of why I'm not syncing to the app.
That, and it trying to run on whatever OS the Versa is using. While it might be similar to Ionic, I'm sure that there are some differences. It's been stable lately, when I remember to enter my water that is. lol

Although it may appear as a single app, Ionic apps that need to access the Internet require two separate JavaScript applications, one running on the Ionic and a "companion" app that runs under Fitbit mobile app.

The apps works well since I changed to a new phone two weeks ago, cos my phone was really at the end of its lifecycle. The sync is still less smooth than I would wish, but it helps to start the apps on the watch first before syncing (I sync two to three times a day). Hope this helps.
