Is anyone else with the Fitbit OS 3.0 update able to get water added on the ionic via the today app to sync with the dashboard? i can add all the water I want on the ionic, but it never syncs. Water I add via the dashboard shows on the ionic, but not the other way around.

I have an Ionic, updated to the latest firmware. When I try to track my water intake through the watch, it shows on the watch, but not on the Android app. Even if I manually enter data on the app, only that shows, ignoring previous data from the day ever on the watch. However, opening the web dashboard then shows the correct data, and then if I open the app, click on the water widget, and then on today's history, it will populate. I can also go back and tap on previous days that show 0 and they will then populate.

It's great to see you on the Community @Bgg1! Thanks for the letting me know that if you check the Dashboard, you're able to see the correct information.
I would like you to manually sync your Ionic by opening the app > tap on the device's icon > tap on sync now. After this, force quit the Fitbit app.
Hope this helps.

While this works, it's just rehashing what I said. The problem still exists that I have to manually sync numerous times as well as force close the app to get the data to sync. Seems like a bug to me.

Just thought I'd add that my weight has never been synced since installing OS 3 to my Ionic in December. I've added numerous ones via the watch to test but nothing's ever appeared on the phone (Android Xperia XZ1). Done multiple reboots of both but nothing ever appears to get logged. Disappears off the Ionic Today screen after about a week too?

Yes, the weight feature has the same issue as the water. The workaround is the same too. You just have to log out of the app, and log back in.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to report this issue!
Our team is still working on a fix for this. However, a potential workaround is to simply manually sync your Ionic and then force quit the Fitbit app. This should get your logged water to sync over.
I will be sure to keep you all updated as more information becomes available. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

Doing as suggested to force close the app has caused by extra 'stats' in the Today App on my phone to disappear, they aren't even in the settings on the app anymore to get them back!

I logged water intake directly onto my watch but my phone shows I drank no water today. (Just got a brand new replacement ionic). I have never logged water directly onto my watch before, so does that not sync back to my phone app?

@MMD247 Welcome to the Fitbit forums! Thanks for reporting the situation you are experiencing with the water logs not transferring from Ionic to the Fitbit dashboard.
This is something that is currently being checked by the Fitbit team to get a fix. In the meantime, a potential workaround is to simply manually sync your Ionic and then force quit the Fitbit app. This should get your logged water to sync over.
Hope this helps. Keep me posted!

Hi all! Thank for your continued patience as our team works to resolve this waterlogging issue.
For iOS users, a potential workaround is to simply manually sync your Ionic and then force quit the Fitbit app. This workaround may not resolve this issue for Android users.
I will be sure to keep you all updated as more information becomes available. Thanks again for your patience!

It might be that you are being affected by a known bug in the software that was recently upgraded for the Ionic and Versa. Keep an eye on the following thread that has updates from fitbit:

Water consumption added to the ionic won't sync with the app also, although it seems to sync the other way around. Ionic firmware version 27.33.1.30. Android app version 2.86.

Received a new (replacement) Ionic last week. My last Ionic seemed to sync water sporadically, but I can't get this one to at all. Android.
