Is anyone else with the Fitbit OS 3.0 update able to get water added on the ionic via the today app to sync with the dashboard? i can add all the water I want on the ionic, but it never syncs. Water I add via the dashboard shows on the ionic, but not the other way around.

Thanks for reply @EdsonFitbit. Unfortunately I am using android, so that workround doesn't work for me.

@Romengaccord Thanks for the update.
The workaround is intended for iOS devices but it won't harm if we give it a try on Android.
Once any update be available it will be communicated as soon as possible.
Have a nice day.

Having the same issue.
I’m glad to see it wasn’t just me dealing with this. I was starting to think my Ionic was faulty.
Hoping for a fix soon!

Hi,
I’m having the same issue with my Ionic (Adidas version). I have tried the new feature of being able to log water from the watch and although the amounts do appear on both the watch and the phone, they don’t carry over for the proper day. For example, yesterday I logged my water from my watch and didn’t sync. I synced my watch first thing this morning, but yesterday’s water values are showing up for today on my phone. Furthermore, it also seems that the watch, itself, doesn’t recognize a new day since my watch still has yesterday’s water amounts in my Today feature. I hope this information helps Fitbit solve the problem. (P.S. I’ve said this in a different forum, but I really think we should be able to log other fluids as well.)
Thanks!

I’m having this issue also on my Samsung 8+ phone.
It used to work but but I think an update happened and now it’s broken.

@KarenLeah @ActiveAndry I hope you're doing well! Thanks for reporting the situation you are experiencing with Ionic not transferring water logs to the dashboard.
Please make sure that your watch is syncing correctly to the dashboard. If you experience any trouble syncing; please try the steps shown here.
If this started to happen after updating your watch or Fitbit app; please try restarting the watch and logging out from the app, rebooting your phone, and logging back in; and sync. Check if the water transfers.
You could also try manually syncing your Ionic and then force quit the Fitbit app. This should get your logged water to sync over.
Hope this helps. Keep me posted!

Hi @KarenLeah! Nice to see you again. As @MattFitbit mentioned, for iOS users a potential workaround is to simply manually sync your Ionic and then force quit the Fitbit app. This workaround may not resolve this issue for Android users.
Thanks again for your patience!

I am having the exact same problem. Everything else is syncing properly, but not water logged on the iconic.
Restarted Ionic. That seems to have worked!

Hello Fitbiters,
Despite a fairly recent Fitbit update, I’m disappointed to say that the water logs from the Ionic (Adidas version) to the dashboard/phone are still not working. When I last wrote about a few weeks ago, the water amounts logged into the watch were carrying over into the wrong days on the dashboard (ie. the watch wasn’t recognizing when a day started and stopped). Now, the water amounts I’m logging into the Ionic disappear altogether and are nowhere to be found in the dashboard. I’ve been consistently testing this out for a week, even after restarts to the Ionic, to make sure this was a legitimate problem and not a random complaint.
Wouldn’t it make sense to not have a feature on the watch at all rather than have one that doesn’t work? If you genuinely embrace this device for its capabilities and not just have it as a cool gadget to wear, it becomes very troublesome to take for granted that information is being recorded about your health when, in fact, it’s not.
I also don’t think that users should go through metaphorical gymnastics to get something to work (start/restart/auto sync/manual sync/erase app/download app/etc.). Either it works automatically and reliably every time, or it doesn’t.
This isn’t a grumble, but positive feedback from someone who loves the Fitbit concept and wants to use it in a serious and dedicated way.
Have a great and active day, everyone!

Not certain if a solution was ever found. I have had the Ionic for 3 weeks now and the water tile updated slowly compared to others up to today. The tile no longer syncs as of today and I have tried everything mentioned and done tests with a Fitbit rep tonight. He suggested I remove the app off my iP hone 7 and try to add it to my iPad. Which I have also done and still gives the same results. I am quite disappointed because this was a feature I loved about the watch. I did not need my phone asI could log the water directly on the watch and then sync. I now have to call Fitbit back on Monday as rep asked me to do so. He stated it was weird as usually the whole watch would not sync and not only a tile. This was my surprise when I found this discussion forum.

Hello everyone,
Although I’ve previously written about how the water intake is not correctly logging/syncing with the dashboard, now it’s also my sleep that doesn’t show correctly on the Today feature of my Ionic. Despite regularly synching my Fitbit and it showing me my accurate sleep times in the app dashboard, the Today feature on the Ionic itself is showing a sleep summary/duration from several days ago. The numbers haven’t budged all week.
Sigh. I don’t understand the inaccuracy of such a device, which isn’t a complaint but a genuine, well-intentioned concern from a consumer’s standpoint. I will also point out that it still severely under-calculates steps unless I’m actively out for a walk (meaning when just walking around the house).

I’m still having water tracking syncing issues also.
Would be really great if it worked. 😞

I have been trying to track my water consumption but have been having issues with the data replay on by fitbit and in the mobile app. I add what I have drunk on the fitbit but it doesn't replay reliably on the next screen with the weekly graph. When I check on my phone app all the other stats have been syncing fine but the water consumption doesn't seem to update at all until I view one of the other days in detail...it even shows yesterday as today.
Anyone else had issues with this?

It's great to see you around @Nicky_B. I appreciate the details that you've mentioned.
I would like you to follow these steps:
- Manually sync your Ionic
- Force quit the app
- Restart the app on your watch and wait at least a minute
I'll be around if you need further assistance.

Done all of the above and its still not behaving.
My ionic is not updating the graph for the amount of water entered although at least it knows what day it is.
My phone is still not picking up any water data from today and is also saying today for yesterdays data. I have even completely restarted my phone but that hasn't helped. The app on my phone is SO buggy, its constantly hanging, crashing etc....the amount of bug reports I've submitted in just the week I have had my ionic is silly.

Just to add to this thread - I’ve noticed that when I log water from my Ionic, it counts as double in the app. (I log 8 oz but it shows up as 16 oz in my app, and then it also show double the amount in my dashboard on the watch). I’ve tried shutting down the app on my phone, restarting my Ionic, restarting my phone and re-launching the app. Not sure if there is a fix being worked on for this?

And water tracking has stopped again. Tried logging out and logging back in again and that was no help this time.
