Ionic - Wireless headphones skip

Every time I play music when I run, the songs play fine until I start to track my run, then it skips.  My headphones are Plantronics.  Is there a way around this?  Am I doing something wrong?

Are you saying the Bluetooth connection breaks, making the sound breaking in and out? 

Do you find that it is in sync with the arm the tracker is on? Maybe happens when the arm is behind you?

I don't think it's a bluetooth issue.  At least I'm not notified that the connection ends then reconnects.

 

Trying to notice patterns, and it seems to happen more frequently when I pause one or the other; the run on my watch at an intersection, etc or the music on the wireless headset then restart it.
