So..... in the UK we don't have Pandora. It can only be purchased in the US App Store. How do we download music onto the tracker? I've just purchased one & may need to cancel the order unless it's compatible with Spotify or something.

Hi, @ColletteFlo, any music downloaded/ stored on your computer or phone (mp3 files etc) would be music you own.

There did not seem to be a feature request to add Spotify to the Ionic, so I created one.  You can vote for it here.  Maybe others will feel the same as you!  The more votes, the more likely a feature is to be imple, ented.

Hi, @ColletteFlo, the Ionic will not be compatible with Spotify, at least initially.  I believe Fitbit is looking at a number of options, so it may be compatible in the future.

Initially Pandora will be the only music streaming service that Ionic will use.  However, my understanding is that you would be able to transfer music you own from your compatible computer, phone, or tablet onto the Ionic.

Thanks Julia.... the music I "own" would be CDs I guess....I have no clue how to get them on there! Lol.

looks like I'll be cancelling my order. Such a shame as it was looking like the full package, but I guess only for Americans 😞

Hi All,

I'm very interested in storing music on the Ionic as well.  I suggest that the Fitbit app should be able to simply transfer any music on your mobile onto the Ionic.  Then it won't need integration with any of the music apps such as spotify etc.  You simply download the music you want onto your phone and then transfer it via bluetooth to the Ionic.

Feel free to suggest but I wouldn't hold out much hope for it to happen that way. However in the meantime Fitbit have set it such that you need a computer to transfer any music you own, from the computer to the Ionic via WiFi.

I don't use Spotify but I have voted in favour of your suggestion.
