I'm in exaclty the same boat with same phone, Galaxy S10. I get MAYBE a couple notifications a day, but 95% of the time... nothing. I logout of the app, restart the phone, restart my ionic. bluetooth connection is there, but no notifications, and all setting are set for notifications to go thru.

I have been having the same problem, S10+. I've been trying every thing and calling Fitbit every day. So last night I thought I would try unpairing and restarting my phone and my Ionic and then re-pairing. Well, before I had a chance to re-pair, I start getting notifications and continued to, until my Fitbit automatically paired with my phone. BTW, I did not remove my Ionic from my app. So I have been checking my paired Bluetooth devices and every time I unpair my Ionic, I get notifications. The unfortunate thing is, it automatically re-pairs and it does it within an hour or so.
I did call Fitbit and let them know.

@NinaP and @SuperDave78. Welcome to the Community. It's great to see you around.
I appreciate the details mentioned and the troubleshooting tried.
I would like you to confirm you've verified your setting such as your watch and your Bluetooth connection and check syncing and updates. If you have, please force quit the app, reset Bluetooth, restart your Ionic, refresh notifications and set them up again. Check the instructions here.
Could you confirm if you've had this issue after updating your Fitbit app to version 3.8?
Let me know how it goes. I'll be around if you need further assistance.

@SilviaFitbit I resorted to uninstalling the app, resetting and clearing all my bluetooth connections, factory resetting my ionic and then reinstalling the app, adding the ionic as a new device, making sure all the settings were set to all day sync, always connected etc, etc... and it STILL doesnt give me notifications... correction... it gives me notifications about a couple times a day when the phone manages to connect to the watch. Since after all I did the resolve the issue, the phone is unable to sync to my ionic even when they within inches of eachother.

@SuperDave78 Thanks for getting back. I appreciate the troubleshooting you performed.
I would like you to try this syncing troubleshooting and then check if your Ionic syncs properly and receives the notifications normally.
Let me know the outcome.

I have repeatedly done what the link your provided said to do. At least daily if not more. I'm super irritated. I'm not sure the version that the issue started, but I wasn't updating anything the whole month of October 2019 and I see that the 3.8 was the first update to come out in October, so my educated guess would be yes, that's when my issues started. I waited a while before installing the update because I have issues on every update. But my Ionic started to act wonky, so I did the update and now my Fitbit is a mess. It quit turning on, so Fitbit gave me a coupon for 25% off and I purchased a new one. My original was purchased Dec. 2017. I received my new one on November 29, 2019, just 8 days go. I have had nothing but issues, since I finally did the update at the beginning of November. This is ridiculous. The best I can tell is that my Ionic doesn't stay paired, so it doesn't sync. I continually get the "no device found" message. If the app can't find my device then of course, no syncing, no notifications, heck, my update to 4.1 took over 10 hours because it kept disconnecting and I had to restart over and over for everything to finally load. Only to find out that the 4.1 version didn't fix the issue that the previous version (3.8???) screwed up.

I have also done everything that @SuperDave78 has done and I've had the same exact result. I have a Samsung S10+. Which phone do you have @SuperDave78 ?

@NinaP I have a samsung S10. Although I've used this Ionic with 2 other phones prior to this S10. The issues all happened after the recent updates. At this point, I'm done with Fitbit. I'm disgusted with the way they're treating the people who trusted them. Garmin, here I come.

I agree 100%. Fitbit has dropped the ball. Everything was fine until the 1st update in October and then it wasn't. I'm so angry. I bought a Versa 2 for my son's fiancée and I'm tempted to return it, as well as current 10 day old Ionic. I had my 1st one for 2 years before it suddenly died.

@NinaP I also wonder if this is really a coincidence or not that this is happening when google decided to buy fitbit.... and I agree with you. Return your son's fiancee versa 2.... get her a garmin... I'm looking st the garmin Venu... thats a beauty.

I agree with the Google buyout! I actually asked about it, when talking to tech support, knowing they'd play dumb.
I agree, Garmin it looking better everyday!!
