Anyone else have issues with IPHONE text message??? I receive none...I was not receiving call notifications until today somehow magically it started working but not text ever show up on the IONIC?? I have updated, i have power cycled both, i have tried setting up from scratch again..nothing...frustrated with this product overall

I have the iPhone 6S and have had no issues getting text or call notifications on the Ionic.

I have the Iphone 8....not sure if anyone else with an 8 can confirm they have it working?

Just sent a test text to my iPhone 8 plus - working for me
Forgot to add, I did go through a period with notifications not working though (I put this down to installing the dev firmware) but it seems to be OK now.
One thing to check (and I'm sure you have) is if you swipe left to right that Notifications is turned on.

another one to check (again sure you have) is that the toggle is on under Ionic > Notifications > Text Messages. I have all 3 set options set to on.
I also vaguely recall that when I was using the phone and got the notification, my watch did not vibrate. When I put the iPhone in standby I did get the alert on the Ionic however now I am getting the alert even when using the phone.
Just one other thing I can think of is the version of iOS 11. When I got my phone I had an update pushed to it a couple of days later. I am now on iOS 11.0.1

Me too.Cant they sort things out before sell them ? Solutions ? There is no swipe left or right on setting app on my ionic ? Did I buy a fake one ?

Been having the same issue. I’m on the beta firmware because I signed up for Fitbit Studio dev portal. Running iOS 11.0.1 on an iPhone 6S Plus, not getting any notifications like I was before.

Well update IOS - not sure if it was why... restart the watch , restart phone, reconnect - works ... such a hassle...

There are a number of settings that may be causing grief for you on notifications. I had some small issues at the start but they have all been resolved.
If you've not done so yet, read the "learn about notifications" link on your phone under notifications section for the Ionic. It should show you all the different setting that you can alter.
I was surprised how many other app notifications show up for me. I have 10 different phone apps besides calls, text messages and calendar events that I can configure to alert on the Ionic.seems most any phone app which can send info to your phone can be setup to send to the Ionic as well

Mine doesn’t seem to be related. I’ve been enabling apps to send to Ionic. It seems to drop that side of connections after a time.

same here.. no messages .. texts .. alerts... will reach out to fitbit support and see if theres something else ... i am still on 6 plus

just got off a chat with support and unlike the Apple watch which posts alerts over wifi.. the Ionic is only designed to give alert over bluetooth..so unless ur bluetooth is on the alerts wont come

I've got the same issues with my ionic.
Sometimes I get texts but only from iPhone users but not Android users.
Am I missing setup steps?

I guess they are making ZERO progress toward resolving this...time to send it back unfortunately
