I have read a ton of posts but am either not savvy enough or am just not getting it. I have Strava and Fitbit connected on my computer and phone. All the data goes back and forth seamlessly. However, when I go to the Strava app on my watch (even though I authorized them to connect) it comes up saying there is no recent activity and "Record a run to see a list of your recorded activities here" even though I have rode over 5 rides and 160 miles....
Can anyone help? I was so excited to get everything synched up and now I'm just bummed.
Thank you!

@Dthein Welcome to the joy that is Strava on Ionic. TBH you’re better off just using your phone. There isn’t, at present, any compelling reason to use the app on the Ionic. All it does is show you your rides, when it works, without any real ability to drill down into the data. It’s just a summary of what you’ve done. You can’t start an activity, or record anything. Yes you have Strava on your Ionic but, seriously, why?

Did you tick the "Remember Me" option on the Strava web page when you authorised? When I first got my Ionic I didn't and it only sync'ed once - I then reinstalled the app, authorised it again enabling that option in the process and now it sync's most of the time. It can still sometimes takes days for the data to come down to my Ionic though 😞

That's pretty much how I feel about most of the Ionic's "Smart" features 😉
The Strava App is very basic, the Nest App and Leaderboard App don't work at all for me - the Ionic constantly displays a Bluetooth error even though my phone sync's with my watch! No sign of the Wallet on Windows! The list goes on 😞

So is that really the case? I bought the Ionic today after much research that suggested I wouldn't have to run with my phone. I have an iPhone 6splus and no pockets for it. I nearly bought the Apple watch but since the battery life is so poor and I have no wish to switch to a more expensive network just to get full use, I decided the Ionic would meet my needs. All the reviews said you can use Strava on it. No one said I had to lug a brick around.
Alternatively, if I record a run on the watch, are you saying it will sync that to my Strava account? And if that's the case, will it give me the same insights as using Strava directly? I'm asking because so far nothing is working as it should (weather app is supposed to show centigrade but despite enabling location services it is still back in the 19th century with most American measures

@Lyonnesse setup Strava sync:
and then record run with Ionic. Fitbit will push the run to Strava, and you'll be able to analyze the run as if you recorded with Strava app, or Garmin running watch, or Polar watch, or Tom Tom, etc.
If you see odd results in Fitbit app, then read this thread and this thread.

Just keep in mind the Ionic uses steps to calculate distance, and sometimes that results in distance errors.
