Hi I have a Fitbit Ionic and also want to buy a Versa. Why can't I connect both to my account at the same time?
I was thinking also of getting a bronze version of the Ionic.

I've not yet seen a reason given by fitbit for this restriction. In the following help file they state the restriction but give no more information.

I can vouch that it's true though - I have both the Ionic and Versa and it won't let you have both.

Can one have two Versas or two Ionics?

No, it prevents us having more than one of any type of fitbit.
Note also that we won't be able to have a Charge 3 with either an ionic or versa

Thanks for explaining that. I feel it is silly for Fitbit to stop people having more than one Fitbit.

It can't do their sales any good so I expect that the restriction is there for a good reason. There is a popular feature request to remove the limit. If you'd like to add your vote you can find it here:

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @SalmanShami! At this time, you can only have one Fitbit smartwatch on the same account, however, you can easily switch between two devices and your data will not be lost. If you have an Ionic and Versa, you will need to remove one before you can add the other. Please vote for this existing Feature Suggestion to potentially have this implemented in the future.
Thanks a lot for your help @SteveH!
