When I got my Iconic 5 months ago, the workout tracking was great. I compared the watch to a Garmin and liked it better. The auto pause worked great. Starting on oct 2, my watch auto pauses during my bike rides. On a 15 mile ride, it will miss 3 miles or so.
Ive turned off auto pause and confirmed it is showing ‘off’, yet it still does it!!! So to recap, I’ve got two issues. Auto pause activated mid ride and I can’t turn it off.

@Juggernaughty It's great to see you on the Community. Thanks for the details mentioned and the troubleshooting tried.
It's pretty weird that the auto pause feature is turn on even when you have disabled it. I would like you to restart your Ionic and then confirm that auto pause feature is turned off by doing the following:
Also, please let me know if once your exercise is auto paused you're able to play it again.
Keep me posted. I'll be around if you need further assistance.

Perhaps I should be more clear. Before I start a bike ride, I make sure that auto pause is 'off'. As I ride, the watch is pausing itself and restarting itself. Even with the auto pause setting off. I am going to turn the watch on and off again and try it later this week, but it is very frustrating that it worked well and now it is pretty much worthless.

@Juggernaughty you are pressing pause button accidentally. It happened to me and many other users. Make sure your clothing (jacket, gloves) is not touching it. Also, even bending the wrist may press this button. Fitbit is not willing to implement screen/buttons lock so the only way to avoid it is to move your watch to your right wrist. Then the pause button is facing away from your wrist and it's harder to press it accidentally.

I appreciate the tip. I will definitely try it. It is odd to be that it worked fine and perfectly for 3 months when I was biking, then one day, it started autopausing every ride. I wasn't wearing or doing anything differently. Anyway, I will give it a try.

@Juggernaughty What about the weather conditions? If it's raining it's possible the water will interact with the screen and perform random actions (take your watch under shower and look how it comes to life on its own :P). When I was swimming using "Workout" mode (to be able to register HR), I had to keep an eye on it as the tracking could pause at any time (and it did). Only "Swimming", as far as I am aware, has touch lock implemented (but not buttons lock). So that's another reason that may cause occasional pause (and maybe 3 months ago the weater was different, here in the UK definitely it was 🙂 ).

Thank you so much! You were right. My new gloves were somehow pushing it. Now I ride gloveless and it’s fine.
