I’ve read on plenty of other posts and sites that there have been a number of issues swimming with the ionic. I’ve had my ionic for about a year now and am so worried about water damage I take it off to shower.
I’m really getting swimming now and would like to track my laps.
Can anyone give me tips on what to do and not to do when swimming with a Fitbit?
My main concern is the band, it’s old, it clips onto the Fitbit well but the ends part slightly and can be lifted. Will this effect the water resistance?

@IonicDevonport Welcome to the Community. Thanks for the details mentioned.
I'll be happy to help you with your inquiry. All Fitbit trackers and watches are water-resistant, which means they're rain-proof and splash-proof and can stand up to even the sweatiest workout. You can swim or shower with your Fitbit Ionic.
I would like you to make sure you're following the Wear and Care tips. Also, we recommend that you occasionally clean your Fitbit Ionic.

I'll be around if you need further assistance.
