yesterday out of nowhere my battery started draining like crazy. I charged to 100% yesterday and woke up to 7% this morning. Charged to 85% and now 5 hours later it’s at 30%. I would do factory reset but I can’t find the option in settings according to all the articles and forum posts I read online. Please help.

Welcome to the Community @Marge6914! Thanks for the details that you've shared and the research that you did on the forums and help articles. Also, I appreciate that you fully charged it at night.
The recommended troubleshooting when your Ionic's battery is draining would be to restart it and charge it once again but this time change USB ports.
Hope this helps. Let me know the outcome.

My ionic is doing the same thing. Charged it last night and left it in the charger for like 3 hours. Wore it to bed and woke up at 78%. And now, about 20 hours after taking it off the charge, it is below 35%. I did not use the GPS or anything which would drain the battery quickly.

@indyjames79 I'm getting 6 days with similar usage as you.. I found the restart works.
I go into the Ionic, turn it off through Settings. Then connect the charge cable to the PC and the action causes the Ionic to restart.
This morning it charged in 1.5hours, went from 11% to 96%. Here is a graph of the last charge period. I had a scare a month ago when the Ionic went flat in 6 hours and I was wary because Fitbit replaced my previous Ionic under warranty a few months ago because they decided I was having battery failure.
The red line is consistent on all of my recorded battery data. The blue line is typical of the fluctuations each day and I'm not sure if that's using Workout or many Fitbit Tap Pay's...

Did you get an answer on this? other than a 25% discount on a new fitbit? there must be something different that can be done?? I did the factory reset and still the battery drains in less than 12 hrs

No 😞 the factory reset worked for me, if I recall correctly. I just didn’t use the fancy backgrounds anymore.

I also periodically turn the Ionic off before the recharge and then the recharge turns it on.. That seemed to stop some earlier faster battery drains.. Not significant drains but down to 3 days instead of 5-6 days at the time.
Many months ago I decided to turn of the window dressing apps on the phone and I only use the Ionic Ace clockface.. The Ionic is now over 2 years old and still getting about 5 days out of the battery..
As I type this I have a note on my App that there's a firmware waiting for me... 😁🤔

My Ionic is almost 2 1/2 years old. It's had a couple of crashes where I thought it was dead, but has managed to be resurrected. Battery life for me is about 4 days and then at 25% or so I recharge. Rarely use GPS.
I was prompted this morning for a firmware update; experience has shown it is best to wait and see how this affects other users first. I'll keep watching the forum before I decide to download the update to my Ionic. There's no rush and my watch is working just fine. Plus, I don't see any explanation of what's new that would compel me to update anyway.

Yes, that is the problem I am getting with my Fitbit, out of nowhere it went fro 5 days battery charge to less than 12 hours. My daughter has a Fitbit Versa and last week she started to experience the same problem. I tried reset, charging while turned off, nothing works. I got my fitbit in September 2018 and the only reply i got is that it is no longer cover under warranty. It is very disappointing that this company does not stay behind their product and offer a better solutions
