Ionic battery draining rapidly and HR not working

Hi

after a partial recharge ( to 49% )yesterday my Ionic was flat again only a few hours later. I charged overnight and it was back to 100% at 7.30am. By 1.30pm it was again flat. Once it was fully charged again. I did a full factory reset and noticed the HR was not working. Toggled on off and did a soft restart but nothing. The steps were counting on the watch but every time I tried to sync with the app it just went back to 1,453 steps no matter what. Did another factory reset and still nothing for the HR though steps now appear to be counting and from being at 84% battery at 19.00 it’s now at 27%. Previously everything had worked fine with battery life being around 5/6 days now it’s going to be lucky to last 6 hour 😳 and help would be appreciated

This happened to my wife...the support team had her charge it and they monitored the battery drain the next day and had her call back for next steps

Hi all thanks for replies. Just an update after discharging in less than 6 hours the ionic will now not charge at all so I have returned it and awaiting reply from the place I purchased as it is only 12/13 weeks old. Hopefully it will be a straight replacement but worrying something hardly used for anything but a step counter and hr monitor died so soon. I ruptured my achilles literally days after getting the Ionic so not used for anything else. Previously had a surge which, apart from the inevitable strap bubbling, lasted for over two years !!

Thanks for all the advice hopefully a new unit will last a bit longer.

For those asking the HR cut out after the previous battery drain and never came back no little green lights or anything. The vibration function still worked. I did the full factory reset twice but nothing changed. After two full charges the battery only lasted 5-6hours max possible 4 on the last. It would then not charge at all.
