Ionic battery dying, auto recognition of activity?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've had my Ionic, after the software update, die twice.  Both times the watch was charged to 100%, verified before leaving the house, and both times the watch died about 2 hours later in the middle of exercise/activity.  The only odd thing about the two meltdowns was that in both cases I let the watch "auto detect" my activity instead of selecting an exercise from the watch and formally/manually starting the activity.

I've turned off all of the "auto" settings for recognizing activity, and hope that it corrects the issue, but asking here to see if anyone else is encountering this.

This shouldn't happen at all.  Have you tried a restart on the fitbit?

  1. Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.

If that doesn't work, I would suggest reaching out to support.

Yeah, I've reset/restarted the watch several times.

On to support.

Did you have any luck resolving this issue?

my ionic has started doing this - three times in the last 2 days from fully charged to dead within a few hours? No different use on my end?
