Ionic battery life not lasting and HR sensors are off

Hiya,

 

I stopped wearing my Ionic for about a month due to health issues (they caused it to badly irritate my skin). I started wearing it again but it wouldn't even last a day off a full charge, 2 days later the HR sensors stopped working. There's no lights on the back and on my screen nothing shows for heart rate, the heart icon has just gotten bigger.

 

I've tried all the suggestions on other posts and it's still the same. 😔

 

Everything else works and I can still sync it to the app on my Pixel 4.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying some troubleshooting steps before posting over here. In regards the battery life concern, let me share with you that the battery of our Ionic was designed to last 5 days, but this also depends on how frequently you use all the features of your device. That said, I recommend you charging your Fitbit device with a USB port from a computer or a UL-certified outlet into the wall and then turn off all the features that you don’t use that much.

 

After following the above information, please check this help article for more tips and recommendations. This article includes as restart process that will refresh the device's performance and should fix the heart rate sensors issue..

Hi,

 

I've tried everything on the battery article and what you suggested with the charging and it's made no difference. It still fully charges to 100% and then dies within about 2-3 hours.

 

I did the restart for the heart rate sensor and that still isn't working either. It won't track anything at all now... no steps, no heart rate, no active minutes etc.

 

I'm the same as majority of people in the Ionic chats, it worked until I installed the update and it's been useless ever since. It doesn't even hold a charge long enough for me to use it as a general watch while at work 🤦🏻
