I have had my Fitbit Ionic for some time now(bought it when they first came out), and have never had a problem with it until last week. It seems the battery goes from 100% to 0 in less then 24 hours, and if I do not catch it in time, I have to reset it to even turn back on. I love this unit, but am very frustrated. Any ideas?

Hi @CaptGrandma, welcome to the Community Forums!
Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for trying some troubleshooting steps before posting. Let me share with you that the battery of our Ionic was designed to last 5 days, but this also depends on how frequently you use all the features of your device. That said, I recommend you charging your Fitbit device with a USB port from a computer or a UL-certified outlet into the wall and then turn off all the features that you don’t use that much.
After following the above information, please check this help article for more tips and recommendations.
Keep me posted, I’ll be right here if you need anything else.

I have tried all of this, I have also tried soft resetting the ionic, the red light on the back will not turn off. I am down to about a 4 hour battery life because the red light will not turn off, making the unit pretty much useless. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Very soon I am going to attempt a factory reset, but would like to avoid this, that is a lot of data to lose
