Over the last couple of days my battery life on my Ionic has been appalling.
I charge it to 100% and 6 hours later the battery is full drained.
Even a full charge before bed and wearing it to whilst sleeping fully drains the battery.
I have turned off all notifications, set the screen to only turn on with a button press, turned off auto update and GPS, kept the default clock face and removed all apps that can be removed.
I have factory reset my watch twice, uninstalled the application from my iPhone and setup a completely new account, but still the problem persists.
Are Fitbit adding updates to make the battery life bad to force upgrades like Apple?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Tony__H, welcome to the Community Forums!
Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. Let me share with you that the battery of our Ionic was designed to last 5 days, but this also depends on how frequently you use all the features of your device. That said, I recommend you charging your Fitbit device with a USB port from a computer or a UL-certified outlet into the wall and then turn off all the features that you don’t use that much.
After following the above information, please check this help article for more tips and recommendations. Some of the steps from that article were already tried, however, please also try the restart process that's specified there and let me know if the issue persists.
Looking forward to your reply. Let me know if you have any additional questions.

I have charged the watch from a wall socket and a USB plug from my laptop, neither makes a difference.
I have looked at the help articles and restarted the devices, nothing has helped.
Yesterday I fully charged the device and left it on a table and the battery drained to 0% after 8 hours.
As mentioned in my previous comment this was after a fresh factory restart, I also removed all applications and left the default clock face on there.
No additional questions just more concerns....
