My Ionic used to last for 4 or 5 days of use (although I top it up most days anyway, never let it run down). So after 24 hours it would typically be at about 80% battery. All of a sudden, the last few days, it's been dropping like a stone. It's going down about 50% in 4 hours, so I'm having to charge it multipe times a day. This is a very sudden change, not like a gradual degredation as you'd expect from a wearing out battery.
At 8:30am this morning it was fully charged, 4.5 hours later and it's now down to 44%.
Nothing has changed recently on my fitbit - not done any firmware updates, I've been using the same clock face for the last year, not done any GPS exercise tracking (or any exercise tracking at all) in the last few days. I don't use any apps, muisc or anything like that - it's literally just sat on my wrist doing it's own thing.
I've turned off bluetooth on my phone, in case that was causing some sort of comms issue that is draining the battery, but it's made no difference. I've tried turning off my Ionic and restarting it, but still the same behaviour. I'd rather not do a factory reset, but I'm running out of ideas. Typical that it's not long out of warranty. Any suggestions?

My ionic just started this as well. Charged it fully this morning and now it’s at 50 percent after a few hours

I am having the same issue. Multiple soft resets and power cycles haven't helped. I do notice that my screen wants to stay lit all the time. I turned the motion activate to manual and it still keeps coming on by itself. I am just short of trying a factory reset. But that's probably my only option, at this point. I am starting to think Fitbits are like my Keurigs; need to buy a new one every 2 years.
