Ionic battery losing charge, not registering steps or heart rate

My ionic is losing a full charge in just a few hours - fully charged at bedtime, flat by 6am, steps not registering yesterday and then started registering last night when I was sitting still!  Heart rate not showing.  Have shutdown and done a few factory resets, removed from app, reset and reinstalled, now not connecting as says device not seen - check Bluetooth (which is on) - driving me insane - seems to have happened since I updated my app in last three days

@TrickyD1ckie  Welcome to the Fitbit forums! Thanks for taking the time to report the situation you were experiencing with Ionic battery draining quickly. Thanks for trying all of those troubleshooting steps in order to sort this out.
