I have had my ionic since October. I have been getting seemingly 4 to 6 days without charging. Now with all of the updates i have to charge every other day. Is this a device problem or new firmware problem?

Hello Marre,
With no change in the settings my IONIC was lasting almost 7 days.
But since the last update it is draining within 2 days.
Is there any glitch in new update / firmware?
\Can you please let me know how to delete the new update and go back to the older one?

I'm having this problem too, since about June. I did a hard reset which made it slightly better, but it still drains in less than a day. It has rendered the watch practically unusable. Is there a fix?
Edit- I got the watch new at Christmas 2018, so it's lasted all of 6 months.

Hi, I sold my fitbit and bought Garmin Vivoactive HR.
I charge battery every 10-14 days!
I am happy now.
Regards.

I did not start having issues with battery life until the latest update. It is unbelievable that the suggested fix is to turn everything off. I was able to use all these features prior to the update without draining the battery. Why have a fitbit if you have to constantly turn on/off the various features. I’m very disappointed with this product and Fitbit’s responses. There are plenty other products on the market...I expected better from Fitbit 🙁

Fitbit support was useless for me. They told me to turn all features off.

I may look into doing the same.

I have trouble getting 8 hrs out of mine as of late!! Is it a device/battery/software issue or is it just time for a new one even though mine is only a couple of years old.

same issue
I've noticed a significantly less battery duration pre to post update, while using Ionic the same way

We are in 2020. And fitbit do not care...
.
Fitbit bought pebble. Google bought fitbit.
.
Maybe a "Rebble" app for fitbit will be made and make our watches work good. Who knows.

So true. I think the complaint goes to trash cans. They just don’t care.
I’d say look for alternates that stand behind their Software quality better than FitBit/Google!!

My Garmin works well. I gave up on Fitbit two months ago. I am sad about that, because the Fitbit user interface was far nicer, and a few years ago the company was great. No longer. At least Garmin stands behind their product and doesn't ignore thousands of complaints and refuse to fix the firmware.
