HI,
I purchased my Ionic earlier this year and have had no major issues. In the past week the battery has been dying with immense speed. It is not even lasting a day now. I have uninstalled all from my phone (HTC 10) and re-installed. changed the watch face but have never bothered too much with anything fancy. This has just begun out of nowhere.
I charge my fitbit when it shows as battery low (15%) and will charge to full 100%. I do not charge in spurts believing this will decrease the battery life.
I am unhappy with this development as I use my fit bit 24/7 so do depend on it. I do not use the music function or wallet. I only have text msg sent to my fitbit with no other forms of notifications.
I would like to resolve this asap. Any thoughts as I can see this seems to be a widely spread experience.
thanks

Welcome on board @p_nastarsia, it's nice to see you around here! Sorry to hear that the battery on your Ionic is not lasting as it should. Thanks for already troubleshooting this in order to sort it out!
As per the description, it seems that it has insufficient power source. Where do you charge your tracker? Have you checked if by any chance the USB port or outlet is faulty? If you haven't done so, try a different port. A UL-certified wall charger will also work. Don't use a USB hub. And always make sure that your tracker is connected securely to the charging cable.
The contacts on the tracker or charging cable are dirty? Dust and debris can accumulate over time and prevent a charge. Clean the charging contacts using the instructions in How do I clean my tracker?
If after following those tips and recommendations you keep having difficulties, try restarting your Ionic and charge it again for 2 hours.
Once you manage to have your Ionic to 100% of battery and you've checked all the suggestions I posted above, I'd appreciate if you take a look at: Can I improve my Fitbit device's battery life?
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...
