Happened to me last December, too. Eventually, it will break. I couldn't do much about it so after it broke I used super-glue to glue it back. I was abroad at that time and there was no other option. I don't know whether customer support can replace a broken strap. I haven't contacted them.

@mirecek as long as you are in warranty it will be covered. I've had no issues with my Ionic band but had my Charge 2 band replaced under warranty.
