whether I bike, swim or run, the time the watch recorded at the time of the exercise, ie; today I biked 45 minutes according to timer but app states I exercised 30 minutes. Very frustrating to have it consistently under report activity. Also really hate that my steps are related to arm swing not steps; no steps whenever you carry something as your arm doesn't swing. Stupid

Yeah have found the device is not that accurate. More kinda just gives a general idea of what has been done.
You can try to restart a few times - or shutdown - or change clockfaces - or even reset to factory if feeling lucky. The odd time the device works better after that.
But def have concluded the device has certain limitations.

Welcome to the Community @jenifer414 and @Whistler888 thanks for the input.
I appreciate the feedback provided about the Ionic. To have some tips on how you can register your activities, I recommend taking a look at the help article How do I track exercise and activity with my Fitbit device? and check the information provide there. After you can test your unit.
Let me know the outcome.
