Ionic black screen, won't charge

I've seen this crop up a few times on the forum, but I thought I'd start my own. It was purchased from a third party retailer one year and two weeks ago. It abruptly stopped working two days ago with a full charge. I read the help article "why isn't my battery charging on my Fitbit" and followed all instructions, to no avail. It did not get wet, I have tried numerous USB ports, I have gently cleaned the charging points on both sides, and I have tried a hard reset. Neither the screen or the green lights on the back are lighting up.

 

Any help would be appreciated.
