My ionic is frequently counting steps whilst driving.....a little annoying for the price. My old samsung gear fit 2 did not do this ever..I'm driving the same routes in the same car....starting to regret my decision to go for a "higher end" device.....so far the fit bit ionic is not living up to the price tag. Does anyone know of a way to stop the step count whilst driving? Thanks.

Hello @Bhapra, there are a couple of apps that address this issue, Travelbit and Drivebit. They both use the Fitbit Drive function to remove these steps.
How do I edit or delete Fitbit data and activities?
It sounds like you are one of the luckier Gear fit owners, the web and Amazon reviews are flooded with such complaints, then again I can find complaints for every tracker model and step counting apps.

I'm not following your question. My previous post has a little no to fit it's instructions on removing steps.
As for the app, I suggested it because of their ability to auto dectect driving and remove the steps without the user having the worry.
