Ionic crashed in the middle of a run

My ionic watch is 2 weeks old (a replacement of my first Ionic which stopped working also). I was 5 minutes into my run and it just quit! The green heart rate reader was still going. Battery life was at 55% had to wait until my run was complete before looking up how to reboot the thing and all my steps are lost for today. I’m thinking it’s time to return this one and get the Apple Watch instead

Did the watch go completely blank, or just exit exercise mode?

On my run today, for only the second time since getting my Ionic earlier this year, the Exercise app crashed ending my run. I simply restarted the Exercise app and initiated a new run. This allowed me to capture most of my run.

It completely crashed, Watch was black, buttons would not wake it up nor would swiping the face. The green LED lights on the back were still going but the watch itself would do nothing. I had to reboot the watch and lost all steps
