Ionic damaged by water

My ionic has water damage, must be a defective seal.... can Fitbit repair/ replace?

Can't be repaired. If in warranty Fitbit will replace. If out of warranty you're on your own. They may offer you  a 25% discount on a new one. Unlikely to impress though.😐

If in warranty and you get it replaced. DO NOT swim or shower with it. The WR50 waterproof certification and build quality is clearly not enough for watersports immersion.

My Ionic doesn't go near water! I'm even worried wrist sweat may compromise it.

 

Ignore the fact that there is a swimming menu fuction in the device. That means nothing.
