Ionic died after going in the sea.

This Ionic is a warranty replacement for the original one that died...It’s been working ok for nearly a year until the other day when I swam in the sea.  This was the first time swimming with it but I have showered whilst wearing it many times  I was in the sea for less than an hour and when I came out it was totally dead, no screen, no rear LED, no vibration but no signs of moisture.  I rinsed it in warm fresh water and then dried it out (in a cup of uncooked rice, idea from the forum) for 24 hours, charged it for at least 12 hours but nothing.  Even tried the 3 button and 2 button resets, cleaning contacts and recharging but still nothing.

Like many, I think I’m done with Fitbit after two failed devices in 2 years.  Sorry but it’s very poor product quality and unless the response is particularly good I will be a customer of someone else.
