Nice to see that you're digging into the Forums @Wehuff2002, let me give you a warm welcome to our Community.

Sorry to hear about the inconveniences you've been having with your Fitbit Ionic.

How do you charge your buddy? Have you checked if by any chance the USB port or outlet is faulty? If you haven't done so, try a different port. A UL-certified wall charger will also work. Don't use a USB hub.

If so, plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or a UL-certified USB wall charger.

Hold the other end of the charging cable near the port on the back of the watch until attaches magnetically. Please check the instructions suggested in this article too: Why isn't my battery charging on my Fitbit device?

I'd also try restarting your Ionic once more by following these steps

Give this a shot and let me know the outcome!

I have tried everything listed. the device will not power on to turn off. I have tried two different ionic cables and 3 different usb type ports. it just died. cant even charge it. I have bought 2 of these (one for myself and one for my daughter) we have also purchased and used for the past year, the aria scale. we loved these devices. we tracked bike rides on GPS, and sleep  nightly. I feel lost without it. I had to get used to sleeping with it but, after a year, have become used to it. I  am not sure what to do.thank you for your response. Wendy HuffmanSalida Colorado

Yeah mine had issues within the first 3 months. Wouldn't update, quit syncing with phone, restarted and Forgot it on my phone and app, even uninstalled app and reinstalled and restarted my phone. Then did factory reset, said couldn't clear data. But synced with phone. It finally allowed me to update. But halfway through it said it failed and to try on Bluetooth. So I did. Then my watch went black. It was fully charged. No amount of button pushing would bring it back to life. Computer would no longer recognize it. It was beyond hope. Sent it back in it's original package and that was over 2 weeks ago. And I had to pay shipping. They finally sent me an email saying they sent me a new one today. But I'm not very hopeful that this one will last after reading the countless threads of people's dying in the past 2 months. Wish I could just get a refund now. I'm either going to leave it in it's box for a few months, return it to Walmart if I can, or have to baby it. Never get it wet or anything. And I'm hoping and praying I don't get a refurbished one. People were even getting their replacements in a plastic bag. This customer care is abhorrent and appalling. It's a nightmare.

Oh Lord....I bought my daughter one the same time as mine and she quit using it because of the glitches and it would not connect to her phone it was really a hassle for her...SO frustrating that it was $300 each (so $600 good thing it was with tax refund money) soo expensive. Im like you, I dont think I could trust it any more. there are others coming out all the time, I may look into that. for now, this one is plugged in as if charging. hoping for a mirical and one morning it will be working again. I bought mine from the fit bit site, so out of luck that way. a rather expensive lesson. thank you for your response. I found it very helpful.Wendy HuffmanSalida Colorado
