Ionic died and won’t turn on.

I’ve had it since June and use it abit for cycling at the gym. The other day it died in the middle of the day with 50% charge and now won’t turn on again even when plugged in. Entirely non responsive. Emailed customer support 4 days ago but still no response. Any help out there?

This is the same problem I have, I went to bed with the ionic on and about 70% charge. Woke up and its dead. No response when  charging. Tried to reset using the left hand button and the bottom right hand button and still nothing at all.

Sorry to hear. Their response was just offering me a discount on a new one.
I'd recommend just switching watches. I went to a garmin fenix 5 and I've
been much happier ever since.

Try and hold down all 3 buttons for up to 30 seconds to see if that restarts it.

Tried that a long time ago and went through every technical fix they could
think of on the phone with customer service.

Mybit was going 5-7 days without charging.  Got the new OS, and it started needing charging every third day, and then every other day.  This morning it was dead, yesterday it had 80%.  Something with the new OS is killing these Ionic watches.

Yeah, Fitbit has done a terrible job with their updates. I have a friend at
work that also had technical issues with his. I'm glad I switched to
another company.

This is what they told me and it worked for me:

Try and hold down all 3 buttons for up to 30 seconds to see if that restarts it.

it took almost all 30 seconds for it to come back on,  so time it.

I was merely offered a discount on a new Fitbit. I will definitely be
moving away from them and going Garmin or G-Shock or Samsung. Fitbit are so
poor.

My ionic has the same problem it went to black and will not turn on.  The only thing it does is the Fitbit logo shows up when you plug it in and thats it.  It doesn't matter if I hold the left and bottom right buttons down or if I hold all three it just the Fitbit logo. I even left it for a couple weeks dead and tried it again.  Nothing, is there some kid of fix if not its to bad because with he numbers of issues you have had with all your products I have purchased you have lost costumer since 2014

Thank you Garmin Fenix, I will look at one of those as an alternative.

My sympathies. Same happened me today, Ionic dead and unresponsive. I have been with Fitbit from Fitbit one (which worked fine) Charge 2 (was okay) Aria Scales (very buggy and hit and miss in synching, not accurate, got a replacement on warranty but not much better still buggy) and Fitbit Blaze (battery life tanked just out of warranty) and now an Ionic which has charging problems (unresolved) and today black screen of death on the Ionic. I am bitterly disappointed and think it is a shame on me that I continued to buy Fitbit. Time to save money and frustration and move to another brand.

Garmin Instinct looks good - more fitness ability than smart watch apps but
still very good. Great GPS.
After appalling Fitbit customer service and sudden death of the Ionic I vow
I will never buy into any Fitbit product or service.

Thank you Timbo, I need to follow your lead and switch to Garmin. Fitbit is a constant source of disappointment and unreliability.
