Hi,
Interested in the views of the community here.
My 1st Ionic died in warranty, the replacement has just died a year later out of warranty.
I have been offered a 35% discount on another product, but it excludes the Sense or Versa 3. So to get a similar product to Ionic would mean spending on the Versa 2 which has been confirmed as not receiving the newer OS version.
What would you do? Go for it with the discount? Spend more and consider an alternative (Forerunner 245 has some interesting feature).....or other?
thanks
Stu

Hi Stu
My Ionic, which I really liked, shut down and rebooted continuously after 12 months and 4 days of use. Strangely started after the last firmware update and gradually got worse. They Offered either a replacement Ionic or 50% discount on Versa 2. None of the newer models available to me. That’s just £85 after spending £250 for the watch. Pretty poor offer. I went for the Versa 2 as a present and upgrade for my Wife.
I bought a Apple Watch series 6 and love it. I expect 4 years at least with Apple rather than 1 with Fitbit and a costly upgrade.
I had a Charge 3 that major failed twice replaced once and upgraded to Ionic , a Charge 2 that major failed 1 replaced and I upgraded to Charge 3 after special offer and sold the Charge 2.
It’s been a nightmare of problems for 3 1/2 years with Fitbit and made me give up because of their design flaws and poor quality..

Apple Watch looks good, but with an Android phone unfortunately not for me 🙁
WearOS currently poor battery life (newer chip sets may change that....).
I just think it’s a bit poor to spend so much on a device to fail twice in 2.5 years. The in warranty replacement was an awesome process, the restrictions on the discount are really making me think it’s time to leave Fitbit behind.
How is your wife finding the Versa 2?
