Ionic dies, won't respond then all the sudden comes back to life

Over the last several days my fitbit has sporadically stopped working. Nothing appears on the screen and it won't reset. Some random time later it miraculously starts working again. Sometimes after a few hours and sometimes longer. Any ideas on what could be happening, I really like my Ionic but don't want to buy another one, will probably switch to an apple watch if this can't be fixed.

Thanks,

@KevinKim Welcome to the Community. Thanks for the detailed information shared.

It's pretty weird that your Ionic stops responding all of a sudden and then it comes back to life. I would like you to restart your watch and check if it doesn't turn off after this.

I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

Thanks, I've restarted the watch about 10 times now as it continues to stop working randomly. Sometimes it works for a few hours, sometimes a bit more. Several times it has quit on my daily jog and didn't log any of my steps, or in the middle of the night and didn't record my sleep. It's not reliable enough to use as a exercise tracker at this point. Anything else I can try, I don't want to buy a new watch or switch to another watch if I don't have to.

Thanks!

This happens with my Fitbit Charge HR3 all the time. Now as of last week it’s functioning better than it has for awhile, on a 5 day streak.

@Janae2321 Welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thanks for the details mentioned.

If you experience the same again, you may want to restart it and continue monitoring its functionality.

Hope this helps.
