My ionic is fully updated and the screen will Display blank.Then periodically when I Wake it up the watchface will be on and Ican swipe through to my apps and settings but the. Fades to it being blank...

This is not a normal behavior, thanks for checking that your Fitbit is fully updated. Have you tried to restart your Ionic?
