I just bought my Ionic less then a year ago. I did not use it in water, they have no damages, blows, falls, and so on.
But a few days ago they suddenly stopped working. Ionic is completely dead! It won't turn, won't charge, won't reset. I was trying to charge it but the screen remained black; press and hold the back and bottom buttons. No result.
Please, advise what to do now? Is this a normal situation? I'm very upset and disappointed.

Ive had exactly the same problem. Midway through a workout last week, screen froze then went black, had over 50% Battery, hasn't turned on since. The app tells me my battery is full, but cant get the screen back. If I plug the charger in I can see the screen slightly light up but nothing more than that.
Tried every reset option i can find, but nothing works. 😑

I’ve had exactly the same problem Fitbit now say even though I’ve only had the device 9 months its outside the warranty so they won’t help. Poor customer service. Seems a coincidence they release an update yesterday and so many watches have reported issues

Very poor service indeed.
It’s very odd how many people seem to be effected by their recent update, surely this goes hand in hand.
I have spoken to “Fitbit” on live chat, who went through steps of trying to change the clock interface on the watch however as my watch is no longer synced it was no use.
They did offer a 30% discount for a new one but I’m not sure this experience is something I want to go through again. Seems a lot of money to be back here in a few months 🙁

Same happened to mine just over a week ago! Looking online it seems to be a common issue that Fitbit refuse to acknowledge and simply try to sell you a new device with a discount! Very poor, I really liked my surge and my Ionic. Surge had a poor strap design which went so I replaced it with the Ionic and now this issue and they’ve stopped doing both models! They’re pushing the new models now..... poor customer after-care!
