I paired my phone via classic ionic and can see the little green phone icon on my ionic and it says start playing music on phone however it does not recognise that I am in fact playing music on my phone. I read an old post in 2018 that it could mean that my phone is currently unsupported and incompatible with ionic classic music control? Please tell me this isn't the case. I have a Samsung s20.

@Avellian A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thanks for getting in touch about this.
I appreciate the troubleshooting tried prior to posting and for letting me know that you have a Samsung S20. I would like you to double check that your phone is running Android OS 7.0 or higher because this is the compatible operating system with the Fitbit app.
Additionally please confirm you're doing this procedure to control your music with Fitbit Ionic. Also reply to the following questions in order to provide you with the best troubleshooting possible:
- Are you controlling music stored on your phone or are you using Spotify or Deezer?
- What happens on your Ionic when you play music on your phone for a while?
Looking forward to hearing back from you!

Hi, thanks for getting back to me!
Your comment about spotify made me check to see if I needed to do something special to connect to it. Sure enough, I needed to download the app onto my phone.
It's working now. Thanks for your help!!
