Ionic doesn't receive notifications on Silent mode

I really liked that I could have the ringer turned off on my phone but still receive my notifications on my wrist. Please at least give us the option to turn it off and on, not just take away a very important feature that is one of the reasons I spent so much money on my Ionic. Thank you!

Hey there @Angelfyr, welcome to the Fitbit Community! Are you talking about getting notifications on "Silent mode"?

If so, I'd like to let you know that our team is aware of this Notification issue when you put your Android device in Silent mode. This began with the last app version 2.70.

If your phone is on Silent mode, notifications will not reach your watch. If you have silent mode off, your notifications will be received.

Some users have shared a workaround that has worked for them while we fix this inconvenience. It's to put your phone on vibrate to the lowest setting.

Thanks so much for your patience. I'll provide updates when they are available!

Because of my work situation i am not allowed to have sound on my phone. That is way i wanted the Ionic so i could receive calls and messages.

Now they doesnt work anymore,, so whats the point with the watch then? Counting steps and register sleep?

Thanks for stopping by @Sylaam, welcome to the Community Forums! I totally understand you point my friend, this is something that we are aware of, please be sure that our team is working on a fix for this.

The Fitbit Ionic does have this feature, the issue is coming from the Android app after the latest update. As soon as I have updates on this, I'll make sure to keep you post.

In the meantime, you can try the workaround I shared earlier. Put your phone on vibrate to the lowest setting.

I appreciate your understanding while we work on this!

Mine is still working, do you have the always vibrate selected from the
notifications menu? If that doesn't work then they may still be working on
it. 😄 Good luck!
