Ionic don't stop heart rate sensor

Hi there,

My Ionic don't stop monitoring for heart rate in spite of I left it on a stable table from my wrist. It keeps raying even after it kept on a table for 10mins, and heart rate shows up as over 150bpm (I normally 70bpm). Do you think that works properly?

Thank you.

I've noticed if I don't lay mine either flat on its side or flat on its face, the HRM will remain active.  That said, my previous Surge had the same issue so I just habitually make sure its flat and not propped up on an angle by something else on the surface.

Hi my Ionic is also randomly doing this. I’ve taken it off and it’s been off for awhile now. I’ve even reset it. Cleaned the back of it. Yet it’s still showing about 149bpm

I’ve just gone in the settings and turned off the heart rate. Yet the green light is still constantly on!

So after about 6 forced restarts and turning the heart rate sensor on and off on the settings I’ve finally got to to stay turned off when I take off the watch.

Since ive bought the ionic I’ve realised it’s the buggiest Fitbit device I’ve ever owned. Updating the firmware was tricky, heart rate sensor is tricky, add more than one app and the watch becomes unstable (I’ve got no music on it), adding music on it is Trickey.

Does anyone know how you turn the heart rate sensor off when u take ur watch off?? This used to work all the time. Now on most occasions it refuses to stay off. In fact last night as it lay on my desk apparently it was measuring a BPM of 140 from what????

someone please help.

Like all good computers of old, and present, when things don’t work as expected, try a restart. (Hold left and bottom right buttons for approx 10 seconds, ‘til light goes out.)
