Ionic dropping BT connection to phone

Recently my ionic has been dropping the connection with my iPhone. I have had to restart the watch and restart Bluetooth several times a day for the last few weeks. Once I do that, it connects again and stays connected for several hours to a day. Is this something others have experienced or is my watch just breaking down.

What are the Fitbit symptoms of apparently dropping the Bluetooth connection with phone?  Just because you don't see it listed as paired in phone's bluetooth settings, that is not necessarily an issue.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

When I open the app and the step count is not the same and then try a manual sync and the app says ‘can’t find device’

For syncing, the fitbit tracker doesn't have to be a trusted device.
