A friend recently got a Fitbit ionic, and been wearing it during exercise bouts. It was recording heart rate at first but now it's not recording any in recent exercise logs, when he looks at it on the Fitbit app. The GPS tracking for exercise logs has a delay in recording the route taken during his exercise logs and suggest that he started at a point during the run rather than from the start where he began the exercise logs.

Id suggest your friend try restartingnthe Ionic several times and seenifbthat helps the issues. If the heart rate is still not recording check the underside of the watch to see if the green lights are flickering rapidly. Also check in the settings app on the watch tomsee that heart rate is turned on.
