My Ionic touchscreen face stopped responding. It will still track activity, but won't allow me to use any of the apps, including music and coach. I also cannot see any of the individual stats that are not already part of the clock face. I have tried refreshing, restarting, and finally updated it to the latest version. Nothing worked.

Hi, I am having the same issue it started a few weeks ago. For me if I restart the watch with pressing lower right and left button till it cycles back on the touch response comes back. Also once I have access to workout and apps again I went to settings turned off lift to wake and since then it's been working like it should be. Also did you watch stop counting flights of stairs while the watch face was frozen?

Rebooting the watch does not make the touchscreen respond. I cannot turn the watch off because I can't get to the settings option. The watch still collects data and synchs it with the Fitbit app, but I cannot use any of the other functions. All I can see is what is on the face of the screen. The top right button will show me the music function, but I can't play anything. The lower right will display the coach, but the screen won't let me scroll or select anything. Essentially, the touchscreen functionality is broken - so, it's now just an expensive single function watch. It does let me change the face of the watch via the Fitbit app. Right now I can't see steps because the face I have installed doesn't track it, and I can't scroll to see anything else. It recently started rebooting itself multiple times throughout the day and night. When I contacted Fitbit, they said that if the reboot doesn't help with the touch functionality, the watch is considered defective, and since I'm out of warranty, they gave me a small discount to purchase another one. While I really liked the Ionic, I'm not likely to purchase another. The fitbit flex that my daughter and I have both stopped working - albeit they lasted a touch longer. I'm thinking I may have better luck with an Apple watch - similar price...but I like some of the Ionic functionality better. Disappointed. Was hoping for more than 2 years use for this watch - especially given how expensive they are.

I am so sorry to hear that, I suggested the 2 button reboot because I am having the same situation. It collects data syncs, but like you I cannot swipe the exercises, log water, floor stopped being counted. When I rebooted and Changed the lift to wake function to off all of my issues seemed to have gone away completely. It's been about a week 1/2 now and no issues. I feel your pain this is my second ionic now. I may have to switch to another brand of tracker/watch.

I wish mine worked like yours. I cannot get to the lift to wake setting. Since the watch face no longer responds to swiping, I can't get there. And, none of the other settings on the watch work. I had to change my watch face so that I could see all of the activities since I can no longer swipe to see them.
If you know of a way to change the setting from the Fitbit app (not on the watch), I'd be interested to know. I have not been able to find a way to do that.
I am looking into other options. It sucks to have a device that is supposed to do all these wonderful things, but can't. Feels like a total waste of $$$. For now, it's just a watch, and as long as it synchs with the app, I can do most of what I want from there. However, it would be nice to change the lift to wake setting since it does bother my hubby in the middle of the night.

It doesn't seem to matter how many times I reset the watch. The touchscreen won't respond. I also cannot get to the settings to turn it off, so I can turn it on again. Maybe I'll let the battery completely die so it is "off" and then recharge to see if it comes back. somehow, I still don't think it will. Sadly, I believe this to be a lost cause.

Oh, I see I noticed that the screen did respond once it did die completely. Then I restarted mine to see if I could replicate the screen response coming back. Then yes let it die then try the screen a min or two after it restarts.

Sadly, after letting it sit at 0% for most of the day, I went to recharge it, but the screen never recovered.
And, it keeps rebooting itself - throughout the day and night - and does not respond to touch. It seems to still collect data and sync with the Fitbit app. So, now all it is, is a very expensive not-so-smart watch. 😞
