Ionic factory reset not finishing up

Not sure what happened but after working fine for 15 months my Ionic started having lots of problems.

At first it would take a charge - I then looked at postings here and did the 'hold all three buttons for a couple of minutes' thing. It then began to take a charge, but when I would push an activity to record a workout, it would just whirr for a second and bring me right back to the screen where you push the 'workout' icon - without being able to start the workout.

Also the screen doesn't come on in about half the cases where I try to wake it up. During these periods, though, it does seem to be tracking my steps, which I learn when I synch the Ionic with my phone in the rare times it is working.

I called Customer Support, who suggested a factory reset - available at the bottom of the Settings menu.

I did that, but that process requires a long factory 'Setup'. My Ionic seems to die partway through this each time, so it super slowly counts up to about 40% over about 15 minutes, and then I lose the connection and it asks me to start again. A big pile of frustration right now. Maybe a Prime Day deal on an Apple watch is my best next step?!?!? This also happened on my previous Fitbit, which was the Blaze model.

Welcome to the Community @TCCro. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with your Ionic.

I appreciate the troubleshooting tried and the time you took to called our Support team. Sorry to hear that you experienced this with your watch.

I would like you to provide me with more details about the factory reset that you're performing. Is it not finishing up? Can you confirm you're doing this procedure to perform a factory reset? Do you have a picture of what you're seeing in your Ionic?

I'll be around if you need further assistance.
