First we tried a factory reset, and that did not help. So they said they would send it to tech support and see what they could do. Waited till the next day but because it keeps counting steps have to charge it at least twice a day. After coming home from shopping was on charge put the Ionic on and still counting with # they gave me talked to support again. They said nothing more they could do have get a newwatchthis is my third Ionic in about 4 years of owning one. The charge cable has to be just so or it won't charge and now have no confidence in getting another one, so will try a different fitbit to see if another version is better.

@Texasmaddogs Welcome to the Community. Thanks for the details mentioned and the troubleshooting performed.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding the quality of Fitbit products. It is particularly difficult when the device is no longer covered by the warranty, but even though Support is eager to help with any problem you may experience with the product, they do need to adhere to the official warranty policy, this would start counting from the original date of purchase.

If you're interested in buying another Fitbit, you could check the comparison page, this will help you choosing the best Fitbit for you.
