Ionic frozen during latest update...

I tried updating my Fitbit Ionic today with the latest update available. After waiting over an hour it still wasn’t done, I closed the app on my phone and now my Fitbit is stuck with the icon on the screen and it can’t find my device when I try to restart the update on my phone. I’ve tried turning my Fitbit off but it’s not doing anything now. What can I do??

SUCCESS! Mine got about 60% of the the first time on wifi (judging by blue box on ionic) and then phone  said failed...multiple tries at "try again"  didn't work.  Was worried because watch only showed the fitbit dot pattern and wouldn't run, so feared it was stuck in middle.  However, after restarting the watch, it showed normal (pre-update) screen, so I felt safer.  Tried update again, had better luck with bluetooth.  Apparently started where it had left off, and finished in about 10 minutes.  Everything seems fine, all previous apps still there, plus a couple of new ones (deezer and (quick)tips).  Appears to change screens more smoothly, and I like the new info on the "Today screen(s)" - much improved.

Same here with CS.  They advised it would take 5 to 6 for update via Bluetooth.   Unfortunately , i wasted most of my night trying to get the update to start as it would fail with in first couple minutes.  Now going into another day without the use of my iconic.

I'm having this same issue.  After trying to update my Fitbit ionic last night  it still can't find it this morning.

I did the hard reset a dozen times:

Hold all 3 buttons down until the logo disappeared then immediately release only the bottom right button.

Hold the back button on the left and the upper right button down until it vibrates, then release all buttons.

Device SHOULD reset and go into setup mode.

The above steps didn't work until I turned my WiFi off on my phone and tried the steps for the 13th time using cellular data. Boom! Fixed.
