Ionic got really hot and turned off.

I woke up from a nap today with my Ionic really hot.  It had my arm red.  I took it off and it cooled off, but the screen never came back on.  I couldn't reset it either.  Has anyone else had this issue?  They want me to return it, but I'll most likely be without my smart watch for a week or so.
