I want to start saying this is a two question post.
I hoping that someone has some input on this.
So doing general work out inside ; running in place, shadow boxing, push-ups, jumping jacks etc.. it seems like my ionic is failing at times.
Whenever I start the work out it seems fine, but once I start sweating pretty good the heart rate on the watch goes grey and has two lines through it. It has been pretty consistent on doing this and some times it will just go grey with the heart rate numbers still showing up.
I'm kinda torn on this watch now if this is a known issue, should I return it and get a Fenix 5? Or is this a known issue with all wrist heart rate monitors?
When this started happening I started looking at other watches. I'm kinda interesting in the Fenix 5 now -- I'll be doing trail running this summer. Has anyone came from the ionic/blaze to the Fenix? If so could you please give me your thoughts on this.

Mine does this when I am at the gym, but after a few seconds (5-20) starts to show the heart rate again. I don't know what to think, the Charge 2 had the same "problem". From time to time I use the towel to dry out the sweat when I see that the heart rate goes grey or it's inconsistent with the readings. Fitbit is known for the "lag" in reading the heart rate, in my case it's about 10-20 seconds until it shows high heart rate (after a heavy set). All in all after the weight training, in the summary all looks fine.

I have exactly the same problem. This is obviously a design flaw. Very disappointing.
