The heart rate estimation of my new Ionic is really, really bad.
One small example of many - I just exercised briefly, bringing my heart rate up to 125 as measured by a fingertip pulse oximeter and also by a blood pressure cuff -- but the ionic registered the heart rate as 91.
This is completely typical -- when my pulse is high, the Ionic is always low. And after a few minutes my resting heart rate, also measured by two accurate devices, is down to 68 -- but the Ionic thinks it's 75. As a result, its tracking of heart rates across the day is basically worthless, MUCH worse than the older, cheaper fitbit I used to have.

@MarkLiberman It's nice to see you on the Community.
Thanks for the details mentioned regarding what you're experiencing with your Ionic's heart rate information.
I see where you're coming from. I would like you to follow the tips on this article What factors can affect my heart-rate reading on my Fitbit device?
Let me know the outcome.
